Dr. Vered Bar graduated from Albright College in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and earned her Master’s in Laboratory Animal Science from Drexel University in 1995. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania in 1999. In 2024, she completed a Master’s in Bioethics and Health Policy at Loyola University Chicago.
Dr. Bar is passionate about improving companion animal welfare and strengthening the human-animal bond. She values collaborative relationships with pet owners and colleagues, especially through shared decision-making. Her professional interests include surgery, internal medicine, oncology, and urgent care. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, California Veterinary Medical Association, and San Francisco Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Bar was honored with the UC Davis Don Low Fellowship in Medical Oncology for 2015–2016.
